Tonight
as the Madre moon danced with Mars
under the dusty muted rainbow
of a fading sunset
and the serene comet floated
one cool remove,
the seven sisters chatted brightly
and Orion watched over all...
The city was laid out
like a cloak of jewels
below me
I shivered slightly
as the wind caressed bare legs
and I thought of you...
and I smiled
with chocolate lips
as the Moon followed me home. |
